Sistema England Young Leaders from The Nucleo Project and In Harmony Lambeth will join young musicians from 27 countries for one of the summer’s cultural highlights – the Sistema Europe Youth Orchestra camp 2017 in Athens.

“We are excited and inspired by the idea of meeting some of the Sistema Europe family, and to be able to play with them in one of the most historic venues in the world! I think this is something that will challenge us to push our skills further and further.” Simi, Cellist, Young Leader, In Harmony Lambeth

With two full symphony orchestras, a choir of young people from the Skaramagas refugee camp and a performance at the breath-taking outdoor amphitheatre Odeon of Herodes Atticus as the closing event of the Hellenic Festival of Athens, we think this camp will be a pretty hard act to follow!

Our thanks to the visionary organising and artistic team led by Etienne Abelin, Bruno Campo and Maria Majno, Impact Hub Athens and the new El Sistema Greece, for this immense undertaking that will unite young citizens of Europe for this unforgettable and vital musical endeavour.
